Biography

My name is Alexander Sains and I was born in August, 1985 in Chelmsford, England. My family then moved to Mansfield, Nottinghamshire when I was very young and then moved again to the Republic of Ireland in 1993, where we lived for 10 years. We then moved to my current place of residence, Swimbridge, which is a small village outside a small town, Barnstaple which is in North Devon (England).

Having said that Swimbridge is my current place of residence, I am also for a good part of the time living in Bristol, while at university. I am studying Politics BA (Hons) at the University of the West of England. Though I am studying for a single honours degree, I am also currently doing two sociology modules which I have found very interesting — quite the reverse of my previous experience with the subject at college where I took it at A-Level.

In my spare time I enjoy browsing the internet (probably kind of a given at this stage! ), playing video games, watching films and TV, driving around in the car, listening to music and, yes, you guessed it - socialising with friends. I also enjoy politics and take every opportunity to discuss it with my less-than-willing friends.

I decided to start my own blog for a number of reasons; for one, I always seem to want to write things down and put them on the internet but am less than keen to send what I write to people I don’t know. Another reason is that in theory it should be a good way of communicating with people either at home or in Bristol (basically the opposite place to where I am at the time). Also, I must be honest, having a blog is fun!

That’s about all I can think of to write for now, I hope you enjoy looking through my blog. Please feel free to register and post as much as you want!
